Why "Sun Rising Reiki"?
Updated: Mar 6
When the name Sun Rising Reiki came to me, it just felt right. The sun rising is the beginning of a new day. There is hope in that. I love this quote by the Dalai Lama: “There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday, and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do, and mostly live.” And there is movement there in that rising sun, which also represents how I see Reiki. Movement represents life and living. And Reiki is about movement, the movement of energy. Reiki energy comes through my hands and moves through them. Our bodies are made up of energy centers, or chakras, that when healthy, are spinning with energy flowing through them. I suppose I could have named this Reiki practice Hopeful Living Healthy Movement, that is really what Sun Rising Reiki means to me.
Is it time for something new? Maybe you're curious about trying a Reiki healing session. You might be pleasantly surprised. Reiki helps most people find that state of deep relaxation which then opens doors to further well being of body, mind and spirit.
